Government Computing: February 2005 - "Paperless Office: Raising the Response."

Case study article regarding the use of Boomerang online survey software, Sigmer's web based e-mail questionnaire management system, by Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Chamber found that switching from paper to web based questionnaires dramatically increased response rates and made it a clearer voice for local businesses. Tim Hutchings, Chief Executive of HCCI commented, "We can now do in hours what used to take weeks. We are getting valuable information back within hours of asking the questions and we are now far more in touch with our members' opinions than ever before."

International Developer: September 2004 – “Applications Divided by a Common Language." By Adrian Bridgwater.

Malcolm McIlhagga contributes, "One of the benefits of our Scribe CMS website content management system is that it makes use of the standard web pages to store all the content that is managed within it. The result is that it can support any script system that the operating system is capable of supporting, including non-Latin scripts such as Arabic, Chinese and Thai. This is particularly beneficial to businesses and organisations which operate on a global scale."

IT Week: 19th July 2004 – “Tool builds accessible websites.” By David Neal.

Article regarding the release of Scribe version 2 and the Disability Discrimination Act. "So many firms need their sites to be updated frequently by a large number of people, perhaps in different geographical locations and languages," said Malcolm McIlhagga, Managing Director at Sigmer, "To employ or outsource to a team of people with the necessary technical expertise to carry out and control updates is costly and can be a huge drain on resources. The ability to easily manage the website content authoring without the need for technical knowledge will lift a huge weight off firms."

Malcolm McIlhagga comments, "There's a legal requirement for sites to be accessible, but there are also business benefits from complying. Scribe is intended specifically for developing accessible sites, and I don't see any other content management systems out there doing this in the same way."
