When it comes to getting some recreation, there are various social activities to get involved with. These include regular sports events, such as badminton and volleyball, a bridge club, and after-work drinks at the campus university bars, or in Brighton, are always popular.
Sigmer provides a university staff discount card, entitling staff to discounted rates at both of the nearby sports centres, providing some of the most up-to-date and best value facilities in the area. Sigmer also organises an annual summer fun day and Christmas party, for staff members and their partners.
In addition, the Sussex Innovation Centre has a Social Committee which organises a variety of activities, such as summer BBQs, cocktail parties, go-karting and laser shooting.
Fundraising for a good cause
Sigmer supports The Martlets Hospice, a local charity providing care & support to patients suffering from cancer and other serious conditions, and staff are enthusiastic in various fundraising efforts, whether it's donating some of their salary, sporting event sponsorship, cake sales, raffles and competitions.
