Share Crazy.com is cyber hosted by a cartoon character Joe Public, who represents the opinions and interests of the private investor.
The Business Requirement
Share Crazy wanted to re-launch their online share-trading website as a one-stop-shop facility for most levels of investment by moving to a multiple subscription model and incorporating new trading tools.
Easy navigation of the site would need to be maintained, as well as ensuring that members on different subscription packages would be able to move seamlessly around the Share Crazy site and third party sites accessed via the Share Crazy site.
Share Crazy also required the ability to make future additions to the site, without the need for technical expertise, in order to scale with the company's anticipated growth.
The Sigmer Solution
Sigmer ensured critical levels of security when adding the new subscription service to the new trading tools and data. Varying levels of access were provided to Share Crazy traders and investors, so that the correct level of access was provided to the appropriate subscription type. Alongside this, Sigmer developed a strict authentication system to prevent more than one person logging into the same account at the same time.
To ensure continuity of appearance, Sigmer separated the design and layout of the site from site content using style sheets. This also allows rapid, site-wide updates to visuals. By building a series of templates to cover different sections of the website, Share Crazy were provided with a quick and easy method for constructing and developing their own website. Sigmer worked on content for all of the Share Crazy hosted sites to successfully ensure content continuity.
The Result
Share Crazy's aims to provide an easy-to-use trading and information website were supported by Sigmer and by creating rules across multiple-host sites, security issues were successfully addressed. The result was the Share Crazy site being re-launched on time and within budget.
